So it looks like Rob the Mob isn’t playing anywhere in Toronto?? FML. Anyone know any different? Or have a download/streaming link? Pretty please?

Fangirl problems: Watching an entire, crappy movie, just to see your favourite actor in one scene,

Oh my god. This movie. Oh my god. Oh. My. God. What??! Oh my god.

It’s totally fine showing someone getting their head blown off [in movies] in America and you can’t show the human body. I think that shows something about the culture.
Michael Pitt, on the nude scenes in The Dreamers.

Somewhere there’s a guy with a million waitin’ for a dame like me.

Paul: Okay, we bet- what time is it?
Peter: 8:40.
Paul: That in, let's say, 12 hours all three of you are gonna be kaput. Okay?
Anna: What?
Paul: You bet that you'll be alive tomorrow at 9 o'clock and we bet that you'll be dead. Okay?
Peter: They don't want to bet.
Paul: Well it's not an option. There has to be a bet.
[turns toward camera, breaks fourth wall, addressing the audience]
Paul: I mean, what do you think? You think they stand a chance? Well, you're on their side, aren't you? Who are you betting on, hmm?
Peter: But, wait, what kind of bet is this? If they're dead, they can't live up to their side. If they win, they can't live either.
Paul: Yes, they'll lose either way. That's what I'm saying.

So tonight has been

1 One of those nights when I stay up and watch multiple movies, and

2 One of those nights when I can’t sleep because a movie I watched was SO INTENSE I can’t think about anything else.

Holy shit. Funny Games (watch it here). I watched for Michael Pitt, I stayed for the underlying commentary on life, death and violence in media. What did you think?

I just watched Murder By Numbers, starring Michael Pitt and Ryan Gosling as two homicidal teens who plan and commit “the perfect crime”. Fascinating. And full of homoeroticism (I loved every minute of that!).

Movies

My “method” of watching movies? Whatever actor I’m obsessing over, I find every single one of his/her movies and watch them all (in as short a time span as possible), then move onto the next actor to obsess over. The only problem is when some of those movies are hard to find. For example, why doesn’t Netflix like Michael Pitt? He’s so sexy.

satanie:

loved that movie.

Yes!

Revenge may be wicked, but it’s perfectly natural.
